    We have the perfect opportunity for you! Are you up for the challenge; we're seeking to hire an RN ICU Neonatal Manager.

    Come be a part of one of the largest healthcare system in Texas where we are dedicated to the highest level of women's health services, including maternity and newborn care with level I, II and III nurseries.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • The evening Nurse Manager, in collaboration with the Director, is responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of designated clinical unit/units.
    • The Nurse manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, including promoting positive patient, employee and physician satisfaction.
    • The Nurse manager will assist the unit director to meet or exceed the monthly operating budget.
    • The Nurse manager in collaboration with the clinical nurse educator will assure appropriate unit orientation and ongoing staff competency.

    Qualifications:

    • Establishes priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Interfaces directly with administration, physicians, public, staff, and all members of the health care team. Represents unit and administration.
    • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
    • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by the hospital.

    Education and Experience:

    • Required: Graduate of accredited nursing school with Nursing Diploma, Associates Degree or higher-level education. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a charge nurse, supervisor, or Nurse manager.
    • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration. Documented experience demonstrating leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Licenses and Certificates:
    • Required: Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN license from a NCLA Compact State; BLS certification as per SDH policy; NRP certification as per SDH policy, new hires have 90 days from start date to obtain NRP certification.
    • Preferred: RNC - NIC
