    Job Description

    POSITION: IT SPECIALIST LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA DURATION: 1 MONTH POSSIBLE CONTRACT TO HIRE JOB DESCRIPTION The On-Site IT Support Specialist's core function is to manage onsite technical IT support for the local Client facility. Such responsibilities will include overseeing the support and maintenance of network infrastructure, computer hardware and software, upkeep of system documentation, daily problem resolution, as well as acting as an escalation point for users in problem resolution relating to general hardware, software, and communication issues relayed through the Client IT Help Desk, or by direct contact from the user base.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Day-to-day management of customer support related issues, including identifying hardware and software issues and assist in facilitating resolution.
    • Accurate trouble ticket creation and documentation within ServiceNow.
    • Assist with the implementation of Client Corporate IT standard practices at the local site.
    • Maintain clear communication with Client Corporate IT to ensure the understanding and compliance with Client standard practices.
    • Lower response time for technology related issues at the Client local site through immediate onsite support.
    • Provide on site dedicated escalation for emergency or last minute technology related issues.
    • Provide on site dedicated IT support to all events at the Client local site
    • Manage network and telecom needs for local staff, and events to include patching/extending circuits and ports, pulling wire, punch downs, cross connects and phone placement.
    • Keep inventory (cables, phones, desktops, laptops, event support equipment)
    • Troubleshoot wireless, LAN, and WAN issues under Client Network team supervision
    • Manage all daily IT operations throughout the Client local site.
    • Help develop and manage IT policies and procedures.
    • Protect client interests by validating user requests on hardware and software.
    • Collaborate with Client Corporate IT on projects.
    • Assist Client IT Procurement with on site management and tracking of all Client IT assets.
    • Manage Client owned and supported mobile devices.
    • Manage desktop virus control.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with internal and external staff.
    • Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
    • Willingness to work different shifts and extended hours as needed, to support event schedules.
    • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and potential impact on the IT business.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous Customer Support Management.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
    • Ability to perform desktop upgrades and maintain hardware and software.
    • High level of knowledge of Windows 7 and 10 Modern Management and O365 Office ProPlus.
    • Strong knowledge various mobile handheld devices such as IOS devices.
    • High focused support of TCP/IP protocols, DNS and DHCP.
    • Strong working experience with Client and Microsoft endpoints.
    • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi spectrums, channels and troubleshooting
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including ability to organize time and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or project,
    • Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

      EDUCATION:

    • Education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
    • B.S. in Computer Science preferred.

      CERTIFICATIONS:

    • A+ Certification, Network+, CCNA, MSCA (Windows 10).

      EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical position with primary responsibilities supporting users in a Microsoft environment, including MS Office Suite, Windows 10, Active Directory.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical position in a facility with standard network and server protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with business applications, with experience in report writing, creating user documentation and/or specifications, etc.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in network and telecom operational support to include MACs, structured cabling, patching, and cross connecting (110 and 66 blocks).
