    Job Description

    POSITION: MIDDLEWARE OPERATIONS ENGINEER I LOCATION: MALVERN, PA DURATION: 12 MONTHS   DUTIES:

    • Support for Client's connectivity solutions including our ESB, eMPI, and HIE
    • Risk identification and evaluation, managing and improving upon internal controls which mitigate risks
    • Working with development teams to identify enhancement opportunities and resolve code defects
    • Code deployment and configuration management
    • Coordination and execution of changes within a complex testing environment
    • Ability to work and coordinate cross-team:  Operations, QA, IT to business, external partners
    • Ability to manage a large number of external partners, coordinating and executing data exchange testing and production go live
    • Qualify and document partner testing issues, reporting issues to the vendor, as needed
    • Experience using an IT management tool, such as ServiceNow, to submit requests and change tickets

      SKILLS: GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with medical data sharing (in any form) across organizations
    • Exposure to HL7 specifications – especially CCD and C-CDA
    • Ability to work and coordinate cross-team:  Operations, QA, IT to business, external partners
    • Ability to manage a large number of external partners, coordinating and executing data exchange testing and production go live
    • Qualify and document partner testing issues, reporting issues to the vendor, as needed
    • Experience using an IT management tool, such as ServiceNow, to submit requests and change tickets

      MUST HAVE:

    • Java application server configuration/deployments – Tomcat or similar
    • Ability to debug issues using transactional log messages
    • Familiar with web services – SOAP and/or Restful
    • Management of a multi-host application server environment
    • Linux administration
    • Familiar with Oracle SQL syntax and Oracle database concepts

     

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Application monitoring – especially JVM management and monitoring
    • Log file search engine usage – SPLUNK or similar
    • Exposure and/or experience with Zookeeper, SOLR, LDAP
    • Exposure to SoapUI
    • Ability to use a Java IDE such as Eclipse
    • Familiar with basic firewall/network concepts

      EDUCATION:

    • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with, troubleshooting, problem solving skills, and customer service
