Job Description
iSphere is seeking an ETRM Application Support Analyst for a very compelling 12+ month opportunity in Houston, TX that will be part of a team of IT professionals supporting critical systems, reports, and data. The client’s Commercial IT team provides application and business process support for systems utilized by Trading, Scheduling, Confirmations, Contracts, Pricing, Risk, Compliance, Credit, and Accounting teams and Commercial management personnel to manage trading activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
• Providing front line application support to the business focused on Commercial applications
• Supporting the Openlink RightAngle S17 application (front-to-back office processes) and interfaces
• Providing system support and consulting
• Supporting the Commercial business applications and associated processes
• Analyzing data or application issues directly utilizing SQL and related tools
• Working with all necessary parties (IT and business) to identify the root cause(s) of production system issues and defining and implementing (or coordinating the implementation of) solutions
• Enhancing, troubleshooting, and supporting in-house developed Excel spreadsheets with VBA macros
• Responding to user data mining and data maintenance requests
• Partnering with the Commercial Reliability team to ensure effective performance of Commercial Liquids application architecture/infrastructure.
• Partnering with Commercial IT-Liquids team members and business users to prioritize work and ensure services meet business needs
• Collaborating with the business to define business functional requirements for changes and develop (or coordinate development) to deliver solutions
• Serving as a liaison between Commercial Liquids business and Enterprise IT teams to provide functional and technical support as needed
• Serving as a liaison between Commercial Liquids business users and Openlink to troubleshoot software issues and define and implement solutions
• Responding to internal and external audit requests
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor‘s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other related discipline
5+ years IT related working experience including experience supporting business applications
5+ years working experience with ETRM applications like RightAngle, Endur, Commodity XL, etc. STRONG PREFERENCE FOR RIGHTANGLE!
3+ years of experience with SQL
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel macros
Ability and willingness to provide day-to-day application support including participation in an after-hours on-call support rotation (including weekends and holidays)
