    Job Description

    As Northrop Realty’s Social Media Strategist, you capture attention and increase brand awareness by leveraging your creative mindset and exceptional abilities as a content strategist and visual storyteller. You are passionate about building, implementing, and managing our social media strategy across multiple social platforms. You lean into your strategic planning, social media management, email platform, and analytic experience as you grow and engage online communities. You thrive creating viral content, engaging with loyal followers, and sharing best practices with our team.

    Essential Functions:

    • Plans, build, designs, and implements the social media strategy including: 1) building and maintaining a social media calendar; 2) writing and posting relevant content, 3) creating, curating, and managing published content (images, video, and written); 4) monitoring, listening, and responding to conversations, 5) collaborating with Marketing to create informative, attractive graphics and content; 6) partnering with brand and agency counterparts to amplify and enhance marketing campaigns via social media, 7) compiling reports for leadership.
    • Proposes and manages the social media budget.
    • Defines, monitors, and reports on social media and website KPIs. Measures the success of social media campaigns and translates anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the brokerage’s social media campaigns.
    • Produces live social media coverage at company and partner events. This includes attending events and requires some night and weekend work.
    • Directly manages Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google My Business and other relevant outlets.
    • Identifies and reports reputational threats and inappropriate conversations.
    • Creates and optimizes lead nurturing process and marketing automation through content, social channels, email, and influencer outreach.
    • Hosts monthly internal seminars on social media trends and insights.
    • Teaches social media business development best practices to our agents.
    • Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
    • Continually improves digital and social media measurement by keeping up to date with trends and best practices.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Experience with Asana, Canva, and Google Analytics a plus.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends (a non-typical Monday-Friday schedule).
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. Also has a working knowledge of social media tools (i.e., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sked Social, etc.) and monitoring and reporting services.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital technologies, or a related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing social media strategies as well as 3+ years of hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software.

    Physical Demands:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds at times.

    Travel Required:

    • Must be willing and able to travel to Northrop events and between Northrop offices.
    • Must maintain reliable transportation.
