LOCATED IN REDWOOD SHORES HQ, CALIFORNIA. The SENIOR MANAGER, DEAL DESK serves as the leader of Imperva’s deal desk, and will be responsible for managing the team that supports the worldwide sales team.  The team is focused on providing field support for complex software transactions. This includes working with our lawyers to negotiate business terms with clients, structuring nonstandard deals, working with finance on revenue recognition and audits, managing discount levels, and being a close partner with sales operations and support. 

     RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Establish strategy and tactics for maintaining a successful deal desk
    • Manage a team of deal desk specialists
    • Prepare timely and accurate reports on opportunity movement and status
    • Contribute insight to business trends and risks of our opportunities
    • Develop relationships with sales management
    • Assist in the pricing and structuring of existing and new customers.  Models can include Enterprise Licensing Agreements (ELA) and special pricing on deal requests & proposals
    • Ensure quotes meet VSOE standards
    • Review nonstandard deals for risk and long term revenue impact

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • 8+ years previous software industry as either a manager in product marketing, sales operations
    • Deal structure experience and pricing background essential
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach teams effectively, particular an inside service organization
    • Contracts management experience, including negotiation
    • Must be able to work well with Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations and HR departments
    • Advanced MS Excel skills required (macros and pivot tables)
    • Experience using Salesforce.com
