RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the month-end and quarter-end close activities
including revenue and cost of revenue recognition in accordance with
US GAAP (ASC 606 & ASC 605), balance sheet reconciliations, monthly
management reporting package and flux analyses
- Plan for large volume of data processing at month end and accelerate
the close
- Provide subject matter expertise in the treatment of revenue
accounting transactions (under ASC 606) and related financial
reporting requirements
- Prepare / review SSP / VSOE analysis assess exceptions and provide
guidance
- Review customer agreements and purchase orders to ensure compliance
with terms and conditions and to determine the appropriate
accounting
- Lead and manage the execution of quarterly reviews and year-end
financial audits by external auditors revenue & deferred revenue
- Design, document, implement and maintain effective accounting
policies, procedures and controls (“SOX”).
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls on timely basis and provide
report of any exceptions
- Develop financial systems solutions and requirements for new
applications, enhancements or business needs.
- Support SEC reporting processes as necessary
- Assist with GAAP revenue modeling and forecasting
- Manage and develop the revenue accounting team
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Active CPA with Big 4 experience is preferred
- 8+ years of combined experience in private industry and public
accounting, with at least 4 years of work experience directly
related to revenue recognition
- ASC 606 and ASC 605 experience is required
- RevPro and Netsuite experience is preferred
- Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of current US GAAP with respect to revenue recognition and
ability/willingness to stay current on all related developing issues
- Experience with GAAP revenue forecasting preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required and ability to work with and analyze
and interpret large volumes of transactional data
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering
skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and at
various levels within a company
- Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and
operate with a sense of urgency, with self-starter orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a change agent
for implementing new ideas and process improvements in an
increasingly complex environment
