    THE ROLE OF SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

    The Senior Communications Specialist will provide support to the VP of Communications and overall communications team. This role is an outstanding opportunity for an individual who is hungry to learn the craft of internal communications (employee communications) and develop critical foundational skills. This individual will be responsible for internal channels and events. The role includes all internal company communications not limited to intranet, video series, and weekly global newsletter, as well as events including all hands, employee forums, leader fireside chats, tech talks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management and organizational skills. This individual will deliver on our communications strategy turning it into tactical events & programs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop, prepare, and disseminate internal employee communications related to global comms initiatives and, as well as programs and global events.

    • Maintain event calendars, the editorial calendar to ensure smooth operations, Work closely with leaders on content for events such as All Hands, Forums, Fireside Chats, tech talks, etc.

    • Manage email, intranet, digital signage, newsletters, flyers, distribution lists.

    • Oversee internal communications mailbox; respond to inquiries.

    • Coordinate the execution and tracking of company-wide communications and events.

    • Measure success of internal communications channels, events, and activities via NPS Survey.

    • Track and analyze email open and click-through rates and other available success metrics to identify best practices to maximize effectiveness; develop and present monthly and quarterly reports for VP.

    • Support site and crisis communications as needed.

     JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in communications. 2 years focused on internal communications (preferred).
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Major in Communications, Business Administration or Marketing preferred).
    • Strong analytical, metric, and planning skills.
    • Prior work experience in marketing, communication, events, projects, and social media.
    • Internal communication experience strongly preferred.
    • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications to include MS Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Well-founded project coordination skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
