DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST Pay Rate $74/hour Remote Temp to Hire Location Santa Ana (West Coast Time Zone preferred) H--1'S/SUBCONTRACTORS/OPT'S WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED 6 month assignment / Contract (with potential for conversion) As Senior Design Technologist, you will own and drive the design for multiple products and platforms that support ***. We are a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and you'll drive design from early-stage concepts all the way through final delivery and launch. You'll work closely with product management, engineering, and executive leadership. Ideal candidates are self-starters who bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on. Translate visual and interaction design into working web components for our design system Take the initial steps to transition from design to solution, maintaining integrity of design whilst laying out in web front-end tech whilst following best practices that enable readable and maintainable code Explore multiple solutions to front-end challenges. Rapidly build and iterate high-fidelity prototypes that express design intent, using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task. Collaborate with design team to implement design intent that is not captured within design deliverables Work within a design system and be able to help evolve the system to meet the needs of our users. Actively participate in concept development and design ideation 6+ years of experience as a front-end developer, engineer or UX prototyper. Proficiency with modern front-end web languages; HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, JavaScript including responsive design techniques. Experienced with Angular and Material UI Ability to work within modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, & Vue.js Expert knowledge in laying out designs in web technologies to match design compositions and intent, including visual and motion design. Fluency with mockup and prototyping tools such as Sketch, lnVision, Figma, or equivalent. Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as a fundamental knowledge of user experience principles and techniques. Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in implementing design into front-end code. Undergraduate or above
