    THE OPPORTUNITY

    We are excited to be expanding and opening our next factory in Pueblo, Colorado. Pueblo is located in Southern Colorado, roughly 100 miles south of the Colorado's capital, Denver. indieDwell will bring an affordable housing solution to the region, as well as surrounding states, along with workforce development. The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for managing all aspects of the nearly 100,000 sqft factory operations, and is the primary link between the factory and the corporate office. This position would report to the Chief Operations Officer of the corporate office. The GM is the most senior position in the factory, with roughly 200 employees ultimately reporting up to the GM.  We take pride in a culture that emphasizes equity, inclusiveness, collaboration, and diversity.     GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In a nutshell, the GM will ensure factory safety, efficiency, productivity, and housing quality while supporting a strong, inclusive culture. 

    • Promote an environment that represents our core values, purpose, mission, vision and culture
    • Provide daily leadership and vision on managing production priorities in a fast paced environment 
    • Responsible for factory performance against production plans and budget with complete P&L responsibility
    • Inspire and motivate all team members to work together to meet production goals, ensuring cross department coordination and collaboration
    • Understands and enforces health, safety and environmental standards are always up to OSHA standards
    • Communicate production updates with corporate office as requested
    • Ensure customer-service oriented in all facets of the business 
    • Responsible for overall compliance with established company standards, policies and procedures, modified only with approval as appropriate for the Pueblo facility
    • In coordination with HR department, determine staffing requirements and make certain that all employees are properly trained, have a professional development plan, and feel valued.  A strong will to demonstrate employee inclusion in the company's success is highly sought. 
    • Attend meetings and trainings as requested by corporate office

     

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

    • 5+ years experience as a manager/leader in a manufacturing environment
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; post-secondary education is a plus 
    • Knowledge and experience in managing multiple departments within a production environment
    • Proven leadership and people management experience required
    • Knowledge and experience in financial management and full profit and loss responsibility
    • Experience leading teams using a business process improvement methodology, such as Six Sigma, 5S, etc 
    • Proven organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain a positive, productive, and problem solving environment
