OPERATIONS LEAD- EAAS
LOCATION: BETHESDA, MD
In 2013, InfoReliance began providing Cloud Services solutions to a
major Federal agency’s 20,000+ employees using our EaaS solution based
on Microsoft Office 365. We have successfully proven our solution and
are now completing the full migration. Our continuing work as the prime
contractor on this 5-year contract promises exciting innovations focused
on messaging and collaboration technology for our client.
As we move forward, InfoReliance is excited to have an opportunity for a
Technical and Operations Lead supporting our client’s organization as we
further modernize their messaging and collaboration environment. As the
Technical Lead, you will work mainly on-site with the customer and our
team at the customer’s HQ in Rockville, MD. You will be leading a very
talented team of solution architects and messaging and collaboration
engineers providing technical guidance, vision, and support to our
client.
AS THE TECHNICAL LEAD, YOU WILL:
- Lead end-to-end service delivery, including transitions, on-going
operations, customer satisfaction, service quality, improvements and
business planning
- Work with vendors, project team members and stakeholders to define
project scope, resource requirements, budget, timeline, deliverables
and milestones
- Define/refine project objectives and tasks, evaluate various courses
of action and select the best alternative to attain project goals
- Manage projects through all phases of the development life cycle,
including initiation, requirements and specifications, design,
development, testing, installation and post implementation review
- Ensure delivery of the engagement from a time, cost and quality
perspective
- Ensure integration of projects and adjust project scope, schedules,
resources and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.
- Manage risk throughout the project life cycle and make contingency
plans to manage issues that pose risk to budget, time delivery
or functionality.
- Recommend, implement, and use tools to measure system and staff
performance metrics to ensure SLAs are being met as committed to the
customer
- Select, develop and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation
of the team
- Act as a technology advisor to clients, utilizing your own
expertise, and engaging the necessary team members to deliver
consultative services
- Drive productivity improvement and efficiencies across the teams
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding delivery
strategy, direction and changes.
- Responsible for performance management and career development of the
team members
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT THAT QUALIFIED
CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND
CREDENTIALS:
- Clearable, U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field orcombination of education
and experience
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience including 5+ years managing
the delivery of complex, enterprise level IT projects
OPERATIONS LEAD EXPERIENCE
- Strong technical acumen with extensive delivery
management experience.
- Background in Enterprise Infrastructure Services including Data
Center, Cloud, Virtualization, Server, Storage, Network, Desktop
- Experience supporting large, complex IT projects in support of the
Federal Government
- Ability to think systematically and see the big picture, as well as
providing strong tactical action planning, leadership, and problem
solving with cutting-edge cloud technologies and services
- An ability to lead and prioritize in an environment of multiple work
queues and competing priorities
- Expertise in consulting with clients to define needs and issues,
developing requirements, and analyzing findings to advise and
recommend solutions to clients
- Superior interpersonal, communication, presentation, and
writing skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to negotiate and work
collaboratively;
- Ability to observe, detect, identify and neutralize complex
technical challenges and communicate resolutions in a clear, concise
and complete manner
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects while adhering
to established PMO methodologies and processes
- Proven ability to obtain and manage commitments for
tasks/deliverables from persons or groups within and outside of the
program team.
- Experience in conducting weekly technical team meetings, tracking
issues, decisions, action items, and following up between meetings
to drive issues to closure.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- We are seeking an Operations Lead with a strong work history of
progressive experience in systems engineering, leading to technical
leadership roles and then Project Management. Successful candidates
will have remained highly knowledgeable on and capable with new
technologies and/or releases even as they have become less hands-on
in their day-to-day role.
- Experience working with and integrating Cloud based SaaS and IaaS
solutions
- Experience with Office 365 including Exchange, SharePoint and Lync
Online and its associated benefits as well as pitfalls, and
integration methods
- Proven success in managing complex technical projects for
organizations with 10000+ users
- Experience providing user support during a migration or
implementation effort
- Proven success in managing migration efforts with complex
contributing factors, such as organizational
consolidations/restructuring concurrent with technology changes and
managing multiple disparate domains within a forest.
- Expertise in Exchange and Microsoft platform products, including the
Windows 2003/2008 operating systems, Active Directory and Federated
Identity, and advanced knowledge of MS Systems Center 2012.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2013 including
experience with mailbox server failover and cluster management.
- Experience with BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Office 365 and
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10 is preferred
- Experience with ActiveSync and Mobile Device Management products
- A proven ability to identify and drive the resolution of problems
affecting messaging systems performance, efficiency, and
availability in a timely manner.
- Experience includes hands-on experience with BES 4.x/5.0
- Extensive experience administering, monitoring and troubleshooting
complex messaging environments.
- A solid understanding of the TCP/IP and OSI networking models
- A solid understanding of PowerShell
