THE ROLE

We're looking for a Learning Experience Designer with a passion for inquiry-based, culturally responsive social studies. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will work closely with a team of curriculum designers to develop, adapt, and enhance inquirED's inquiry-based studies curriculum for elementary grades. 

We're looking for creative designers who can bring their ideas to life in rigorous, standards-based content that incorporates the lived and historical experiences of all students. We're also looking for someone that loves grappling with difficult challenges, sees critical feedback as instrumental to growth, thrives on critical analysis, and lives for a spirited academic debate in the interest of children.

QUALIFICATION

• Experience teaching social studies in grades K-5, preferably with historically underrepresented populations
• Previous curriculum writing experience, with instructional coaching experience also desired
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, literacy development, and culturally responsive education
• Strong research and writing skills, including experience vetting sources
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, feedback driven environment 
• A willingness to be scrappy, creative, and unconventional
• A passion for inquirED's mission
