    Job Description

    Legacy Marketing is a Chicago-based, independent experiential and digital marketing agency that inspires passion for brands by engaging people through integrated live + digital campaigns.     The Analyst will help pinpoint how agency marketing initiatives are performing from a historical perspective (compared to goals and predetermined benchmarks), as well as from an ROI standpoint. This individual should be a self-starter and inquisitive in nature, having a strong desire to understand the “why” in what is driving performance and impacting the bottom line. This individual’s recommendations, based on sound analytics and statistically significant data points, will help determine how to grow our efforts as an agency.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

     

    • Ability to cleanse data and identify outliers in large data sets from a variety of sources
    • Familiarity with large datasets and ability to mine databases.
    • Track and report program performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for a variety of different clients / programs.
    • Identify and extrapolate key insights and trends from data.
    • Analyze and interpret data: program results, sales information and market trends.
    • Develop reporting dashboards through automated reporting templates as well as supplemental visuals / documentation to meet business & client needs and push the envelope from a reporting perspective.
    • Provide recommendations to improve and grow contribution.
    • Develop forecasts and predictive models to provide statistically sound recommendations to clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams (Account Teams, Marketing Intelligence, Digital Team, etc.) to drive analysis and insights that lead to improved performance.

     

    Experience, Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

     

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a requirement.
    • Must be self-starter who is intrinsically motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Must have a strong work ethic as Legacy is in the client service business.
    • Must possess the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously and independently.
    • Must have experience managing / understanding custom databases as well as “dirty data”
    • Must be able to interpret and provide insightful & objective recommendations based on what the data is saying.
    • Must have a strong business acumen, knowledge of various marketing ROI models and experience in executing how to this leverage information.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint a requirement.
    • Must know how to create Pivot Tables / Run Macros.
    • Proficient knowledge of Tableau (+2 years).
    • Basic knowledge of Alteryx is a requirement.
    • Strong understanding of predictive modeling is a plus.
