    Job Description

    The Head of People and Culture will serve as a member of the senior management team and will develop and align HR strategies with the Mission, Vision, Values and core business objectives of the Organization.

    This position requires an experienced, highly effective HR executive with a career of increasing responsibilities in enhancing the effectiveness of the People and Culture function within an entrepreneurial, performance based, growth-oriented organization.

    The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and innovative executive with demonstrated experience driving culture of an organization through attracting, developing and retaining diverse top talent.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Manage and streamline organization-wide employee focused processes including but not limited to recruiting and on-boarding, retention and engagement, performance management, feedback and annual reviews, promotions, and benefits administration

    • Oversee all employee communication and engagement, and the consistent application of HR policies and practices in support of organizational success and building a stimulating, diverse team-based work environment.

    • Implement and deploy Human Resources systems, policies and practices that will enhance the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization

    • Lead recruiting strategies and implement plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility.

    • Communicate the employee value proposition to tie the people and business strategies together; and serve as an integral part of creating a positive and dynamic work culture

    • Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance.

    • Manage benefits administration, which includes recommending annual benefit renewals, approving invoices for payment, processing enrollment forms, answering plan questions, and conducting open enrollment.

    • Incorporate performance management tools and processes as well as professional development initiatives that will enable managers and employees to thrive in their respective roles

    • Oversee the employee management process in an environment that recognizes, appreciates and rewards top performance, as well as properly coaching, counseling, developing and monitoring improvement plans and/or exit strategies for underperformers

    • Attract, recruit, develop and maintain top talent that fits within the organizational culture

    • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of employees.

    • As a data driven executive, develop and track key HR metrics, and create a HR dashboard

    • Ensure successful employee onboarding practices to include employee orientation, retention and engagement, feedback and annual reviews, promotions, and benefits administration.

    • Work with Operations and software developers and provide input to new HRIS and benefits related features of our software applications.

    • Manage an annual budget that includes HR services, employee recognition, team building events, philanthropic giving, and administration.

    • Influence leadership by establishing credibility, trust, and rapport throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of business and people issues.

    • Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulatory issues, of professional or industry substantive codes and of federal and state laws and regulations.

    • A deep generalist Human Resources background and a proven track record in excellence in Human Resources’ administration, recruiting and talent management, performance management, employee relations and communications, and compensation and benefits, organizational effectiveness within an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented organization.
    • The candidate must demonstrate true results as an advocate for the growth and well-being of employees, as an agent for achieving business goals through HR tools and as an innovative business and HR thinker
    • Strong organizational planning and development skills with a particular focus on assessing diverse employee populations, benchmarking talent and implementing development programs.
    • Outstanding influencing, partnership and negotiation skills with strong ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess processes and outcomes by establishing solid performance metrics.
    • Able to provide pragmatic solutions, with urgency and wisdom, to complex organizational and staff issues; demonstrated success in diagnosing both the Organization and Individuals, with an independent point of view that empowers leaders
    • Effective in finding a balance between listening, coaching, proposing, directing and deciding
    • Exceptional track record in developing and retaining staff and new hires
    • Results oriented mindset with the ability to be flexible in order to find the right balance between operational pressures, annual objectives and various internal and external pressures
    • Global and cultural awareness of equity, diversity, and inclusion
    • Experienced in payroll matters including taxes, deduction rules, and payroll software platforms
    • Extensive knowledge in HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and ACA statutes and regulations
    • Previous successful experience working with a distributed, remote workforce, and international teams in the technology space
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills as well as a positive attitude are a must
    • An unparalleled diplomacy and exceptional stakeholder management experience

    Additional Information

    This position may travel 5-10% of the time for conferences, product demonstrations, and other necessary business travel.
