    Job Summary

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and employees. This role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and responds promptly to maintenance requests.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds.

    Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems.

    Perform plumbing work, including repairing or replacing faucets, toilets, sinks, drains, pipes, and fixing leaks.

    Repair drywall, paint, doors, locks, flooring, lighting fixtures, and furniture as needed.

    Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

    Maintain pool equipment (if applicable) and coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs.

    Keep maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools and supplies.

    Follow OSHA and hotel safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    1–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.

    Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., use hand and power tools, and work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.

    Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
