TITLE : GOOGLE NETWORK ENGINEER

LOCATION: REMOTE (MUST WORK PST HOURS)

DURATION: 3 +MONTHS (EXPECTED)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Interview expectations: 14th 15th 16th of April

Start date ASAP

This resource will be supporting the build and maintain hybrid cloud data networks between Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on-prem data centers for public cloud greenfield integration for Lift-and-Shift projects/initiatives. Will work with development and network team architects and teams to determine project requirements, specifications, and technical solutions.

• IP Routing in Public Cloud and On-Prem Datacenters (SD-WAN, HA, BGP, IPAM, DNS, Subnetting, Firewalls, and Load Balancers)
• GCP Networking (Load Balancing, Traffic Director, NAT, DNS, VPN, VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Routers, Cloud Armor) and Services (Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, Cloud Build, Apigee, Compute Engine, Storage, Security, )
• Network Logging/Monitoring tools (Zabbix, Splunk, SolarWinds)
• Experience w/Automation tools (Chef, Jenkins, Jira/Confluence/BitBucket) Scripting & Workflows (Terraform, Ruby & Python, JSON, YAML) and IAC capabilities (Infrastructure-as-Code)
• Participate in a project team of highly skilled engineers involved with SD-WAN vManage for connecting to cloud applications.
• Utilize effective oral and written communication skills to convey technical subject matter clearly and concisely.
• Partner with various IT teams and end-users in expanding Cloud and Data Center solutions.
• Design, Implement and Support network operations, administration, and connectivity to Public clouds.
• Create and update GCP Cloud documentation around network infrastructure.
• Utilize SD-WAN from GCP to support the on-premise and AWS backend connectivity.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
• Partner with our broader Technical Operations organization to reduce operational burden.
• Work closely with our Network Engineering & Deployment teams to ensure operational readiness for new deployments.
