    Rate of Pay Starting at $14.00 per hour 

    SCHEDULE:                 8:00 AM TO 12:00 PM, MONDAY - FRIDAY (PART-TIME/20 HOURS PER WEEK)                 - OR -                 12:00 PM TO 4:00 PM, MONDAY - FRIDAY (PART-TIME/20 HOURS PER WEEK) 

    BENEFITS:  Paid holidays, vacation benefits, paid sick leave, referral bonus plan, and retirement plan to part-time employees.  MOMENTUM PTN is hiring a EARLY INTERVENTION ASSISTANT for our Torrance location.  As the Early Intervention Assistant, you will high quality, compassionate, and professional services to children with special needs and their families. Our Early Intervention Assistant have the unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in education and to develop caring relationships.

    EARLY INTERVENTION ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment 
    • Respects and promotes the right of individuals 
    • Participates in Early Start Denver Model training and maintain adherence to the model throughout treatment sessions
    • Plans and runs play-based centers incorporating developmentally appropriate activities
    • Maintains data collection for each child pertaining to his/her individual goals
    • Communicates with parents regarding integrating principles of the ESDM model within the home and community environments
    • Participates in feedback sessions with ESDM-certified therapist and integrate feedback into treatment sessions immediately
    • Participates in set-up and clean-up of group program
    • Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

    EARLY INTERVENTION ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be 18 years of age
    • High School diploma with relevant experience; required 
    • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field; preferred 
    • Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
    • Work collaboratively with families
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
    • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
