    MOMENTUM is hiring a REGISTERED NURSE (RN) EDUCATOR to provide educational services and support to the nursing and care staff at Momentum. As a RN Educator, you will support Momentum’s programs, instill policies and procedures, and evaluate and meet the needs of the people Momentum supports. The RN Educator will assist with the development and implementation of education plans through hands on training to help support the educational goals of Momentum.

    RN EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops, coordinates, updates, evaluates, and implements programs to meet regulatory requirements and organizational, departmental, and discipline-specific needs
    • Develops, coordinates, and evaluates activities for continuing professional education for staff
    • Collaborates with Directors to develop special projects in professional education, development, and learning
    • Implements ongoing training programs
    • Makes assessments to improve the quality of care of the people supported
    • Reviews and implements treatments and services of each person supported
    • Makes recommendations for cost and quality strategies, works within budget
    • Serves as expert resource to staff and departments in defining and meeting educational, clinical, quality and cost outcomes and performance measures
    • Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates/improves the orientation, cross training and education/competency processes/systems for clinical staff and students
    • Evaluates performance issues and works with HR to develop strategies for remediation
    • Responds to corporate and industry changes in clinical practice and professional education
    • Provides necessary training, education, and development to improve organizational performance
    • Participates in leadership projects, meetings, committees, and improvement activities
    • Ensures compliance and documentation of records based on regulatory agency standards
    • Performs other duties assigned to meet department and/or business needs

    RN EDUCATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing; required
    • Current California RN License; required
    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in education, teaching, or experience in in-service education in healthcare setting
    • Clinical service; required
    • Adult learning knowledge; required
    • Abilities to utilize interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent group facilitator skills
    • Must be able to work weekends, on-call and after hours as needed
    • Strong desire to work with individuals with disabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, physical exam, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s degree in nursing; preferred
    • BSN; preferred
    • AHA BLS instructor; preferred
    • Acute Care experience; preferred
