mpathic provides an Application Programming Interface (API) to other enterprises, where developers program against that API to analyze and enhance communication in their products. The developers using our API are typically not domain experts familiar with the terminology of human communication. Our documentation needs to be clear for the developer while also providing them enough domain information to understand the responses they receive. This includes API documentation, as well as technical FAQS, technical architecture diagrams, and quickstarts.

An mpathic Technical Documentation Writer will also help to develop internal technical documentation for things like data sharing policies, security checklists, etc - any place where technology and humans need to collaborate.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE

• Document products and APIs as a key part of the software development lifecycle
• Own tooling, content, and deployment of public facing technical documentation
• Work closely with engineering, product, and design to reflect mpathic's values and brand
• Organize documentation so it is easy to use and search
• Provide data driven information to product teams about feature complexity, confusion on behalf of users
• Review and edit all user instruction text and error messages in the product
• Respond to content feedback and questions in our community forums
• Work closely with CISO on internal documentation needed for technical policies and requirements for SOC2, HIPAA, ISO27xxx, and others

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Prior Professional Technical Writing experience
• Able to collaborate, partner with, and learn from engineering, product, and design
• Proficient in HTML, Markdown, some CSS
• Conversant with Git
• Adept at communicating technical concepts clearly and precisely
• Familiarity or prior experience documenting REST APIs a bonus

SALARY

 The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience. Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in mapthic's equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering based on factors including but not limiting to information contained within this posting. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience. We provide employees with a base salary and equity for the total comp package.
