About the Role DBRS Morningstar is looking for a part-time intern to support the new issue U.S. RMBS ratings team. The role is based in New York, New York as part of the Global Structured Finance team. Job Responsibilities Develop an understanding of credit aspects of structured finance transactions Conduct research on various credit-related topics and produce summaries of findings Assist with analysis to evaluate credit profile of securities Assist with the preparation of rating committee materials Aggregate data and performance metrics from various sources Contribute to the efforts to automate certain manual functions Review legal documents pertaining to Structured Finance transactions Prepare disclosure reports and company publications Catalogue deal information on DBRS Morningstar network systems according to internal policies and procedures Qualifications Working towards a Bachelor's degree in financial engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, computer science, or any other related field Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills Self-starter and team player with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) Candidate must be able to work 40 hour work weeks during the summer and a minimum of 15 hours / week during the school year Nice to have VBA, Python, or other basic programming skills About Us DBRS Morningstar is a global credit ratings business, currently with 700 employees in eight offices globally.
