You'll be given meaningful projects from day one in addition to coaching, mentorship, and networking opportunities.Aiming to address company goals to remove both innovation and scalability constraints, the Manufacturing team is looking to take on a motivated individual for an exciting internship project. Focusing on newly implemented technologies, this project will draw conclusions from data and alternative potential solutions to fuel future suggestions.This intern will report to the Manufacturing Manager. Most of the work is in a laboratory setting requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a lab coat, eye protection and gloves. In accordance with Oregon laws, our site currently requires the use of a mask on site.The intern will be given their own project and contribute to business as usual (BAU) tasks, such as the formulation and packaging of our products, and replenishing batches of our large and growing catalog of products. This includes ELISA Kits, Monoclonal Antibodies, Cell and Tissue Lysates, Proteins, and other Reagents for life sciences research.The environment in batch production is fast-paced and full of opportunities to master a diverse set of biotech manufacturing skills.Primary Responsibilities: Perform documented manufacturing processes according to SOPsMaintain accurate and detailed recordsMix and aliquot bulk reagentsMaintain physical and digital raw material, intermediate, bulk, and finished good inventoryMaintain a safe and healthy workplace.Comply with global health and quality standards.Regular project summary through presentations & reportsMay be required to perform other duties as required/assignedQualificationsA successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail and will be solution-oriented. A background in biology is ideal, specifically a background in antibody characterization and validation technologies. Strong teamwork and communication skills will be essential to succeed in this role.Reporting into the team lead, you will feed into a larger group of 7 individuals. Broader matrix-style management relationships will be required. As this role is set in a fast-paced and agile landscape we are looking for you to feel comfortable and confident working in this environment.Minimum Qualifications:Ongoing education in biology, engineering, or a related fieldPosition requires prolonged stints of standing/sittingDisplay manual dexterity required to operate office and heavy lab equipmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Biological science principles and methodologyDemonstrated ability to achieve goals within an allotted timeframe, and deliver high-quality resultsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentEnergetic and enthusiastic with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic teamStrong communication skills.Maintain accurate and detailed records.Organizational and time-management skills.Display manual dexterity required to operate office and heavy lab equipmentComputer skills including instrumentation specific software, and proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
