We are proud to provide our clients with best-in-class services that meet their growing needs.Position Profile and Summary:The internship is a full time position lasting approximately mid-June through August (10 weeks).  Interns are under close supervision and performance is monitored to determine qualification for advancement as opportunities arise.The Marsh & McLennan Insurance Agency LLC marketing intern program is designed to prepare individuals to progress into a Marketing position and builds the skills and knowledge needed to do so by being provided the opportunity to help market an initiative from the ground up.  Throughout the internship, the Marketing Intern will build product knowledge needed to successfully obtain a marketing position in the future.  Marketing Interns work in a variety of situations, at times working as members of a team and other times working alone on an assignment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Assist with our corporate branding and recruiting strategies:Being a conduit to the MMA intern network as we seek out testimonials to leverage next spring, develop an intern takeover on our career handles, and assist with developing more content that would resonate with future early career/intern candidates.Surveying regional and local efforts around community involvement with the intent of developing employer brand and internal communication strategies in this area (also has ESG implications).Competitive analysis of employer brands across social and web platforms.-Assist in evaluating our existing content and potential gaps:Create a content inventory for all lines of business and general benchmarking for usage. Use this for initiating content review process. Assist in content development and review for the national RFP library. Updating voice, removing jargon, adding graphics, etc.Corporate leader bios and headshot library.-Help us improve our digital marketing experiences for our internal and external audiences:Present well-researched recommendations for developing a more engaging web experiences to improve our buyer experience. Keyword/SEO research for Big Rock to find how is it working and explore opportunities for improvement. Tagging the icon and photo libraries on Frontify with key words to optimize search results.Assist with various projects in the development of the new MarComm Library in MMA U, our internal training platform.-Work to assist the National Marketing and Communications Team in building and refining our outreach efforts:Work with/survey regions to determine the best communication strategies to establish the most effective way to deliver our corporate marketing campaigns. -Help conduct market research:Research the future of insurance and disruption in the small and middle market spaces and present well-researched content.Competitive analysis of employer brands across social and web platforms.Heat mapping of core opportunities to find out how we advertise, promote, market to capture priority audiences.-Swag requests.Education and/or Experience:Undergraduate within 1-2 years of graduation, working toward a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business, marketing, journalism, communications, or technology related field of study, and with a competitive academic standing.Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Adobe) with the ability to operate standard office equipment is required.Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with prospective and existing clients and internal associates.Results oriented with demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and present results neatly, with clarity and precision in oral and written form.Excellent grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressionsAbility to work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced environmentFlexible location within reasonable proximity to an MMA office This employer is a corporate member of myGwork - LGBTQ+ professionals, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals, students, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
