Its schedule features classic films during the day (FXM Retro), contemporary box office hits and acclaimed, award-winning films, and short-form award-winning original programming in the evening.JOB DESCRIPTIONBe a part of an innovative team and culture…We are problem solvers and serve as the bridge between FX’s creative executives and talent. Business and Legal Affairs works closely with FX’s creative and production groups to negotiate and draft contracts for FX talent (writers, actors, producers, rights).    A Day in the Life…Legal/Business Affairs interns for FX will work with business affairs executives and attorneys to draft and redline studio and network agreements for writers, producers, and other talent in connection with our original episodic series; draft guild-related agreements for our original productions such as WGA and DGA episodic deal memos; read scripts and watch upcoming episodes of original series for copyright/trademark clearance; review existing deal memos and contracts to create precedent charts; conduct deal point analysis of attorney negotiations and work on other research projects.Interns for the Legal and Business Affairs department will be responsible for the following:Draft studio and network agreements for writers, producers, and talentDraft guild-related agreements for our original productionsRead scripts and watch upcoming episodes for copyright/trademark clearanceReview existing deal memos and contracts to create and update precedent/department chartsConduct deal point analysis for preparation of attorney negotiations and information gatheringWhat we are looking for…Ability to handle confidential informationStrong written and verbal communication Strong attention to detailJ.D.
