    Job Summary: ABC Entertainment Group develops and produces compelling programming for broadcast on ABC in addition to other television and digital platforms. The group includes ABC Entertainment, which is responsible for all network primetime and late-night entertainment programming. ABC’s viewing experience is enhanced through a variety of innovative and award-winning digital entertainment platforms, including a full-episode player on ABC.com and an iPad app, and extends to more than 1,000 platform partners worldwide via Disney Media Distribution. Responsibilities:Work with writers/producers/creative directors and team leader on creative projectsContribute to the development of projects by screening shows, pulling clips and writing scriptsEdit your own promos or content for digital and social media to help promote ABC line up of showsCome up with fresh ideas and be able to pitch to creative directors on various types of projectsMix and blend with the Entertainment Marketing Group on all levels, strategy, digital and creativeBe a vital part of the group to help push the creative envelope for the success of ABC Entertainment MarketingCreative copywriting to help forward storytelling in promotion Basic Qualifications:Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherProficient skills in Word, PowerPoint and ExcelExperience or proficiency with non-linear editing platforms – (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier or Avid) preferably with some examples of editing work using these toolsFlexibility with hours and last-minute changesA willingness to take on new projects and take direction from creative directorsBring new thoughts and creative ideas to brainstorm show launches and campaignsKnowledge of music to help drive creative for campaigns and launchesStrong written and verbal communication skillsA demonstrated high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast pace environmentProven strong organizational skillsProblem-solver with a positive, can-do attitudePreferred Qualifications:Experience with Adobe PhotoshopPreference for candidates majoring in Marketing/Advertising, Film/TV Production, Public Relations, Journalism, or other creative writing areasDemonstrated passion for Entertainment Marketing and TelevisionAdditional creative endeavors, performing, play or film production experience, student film work or musical talent a plus Preferred EducationSenior or recent graduateAdditional Information:Eligibility•All students must possess unrestricted work authorization.•All students must be at least 18 years old.• At the time of application, must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring) prior to participating in the program – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship.Work Environment• This internship is a remote internship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.•All candidates must be available from May/June through January. •All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week.•All students must provide a consistent, reliable work schedule during the session.
