Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. What we’re looking for…Design Services is a program that was established to meet the on-going needs of our partners in the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. The program provides reliable and cost effective design and production resources to help tell the stories while maintaining the show quality standards. The Producer Design Services Intern will work collaboratively with the local Art Directors to develop the scope, find the right resources and to deliver projects in a timely manner. The intern will work within the department. Responsibilities:You will…Provide support to various Design Services Producers by assisting in scope development, overseeing deliverables, managing communication, and tracking deadlinesCommunication via email, spreadsheets, and in personLearn and utilize propriety Design Services Project Management (DSPM) programPrioritize day-to-day activities to meet project schedulesMay be required to organize and develop a scope of work in support and schedule for projects of limited complexity and sizeBasic Qualifications:What you bring to the role…Possess a basic knowledge of the design processPrevious experience in a creative environmentThoughtful and thorough communication skills via email, spreadsheets, or in personStrong organizational skills, self-starter, and highly motivatedDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to thrive in a team environment with multiple disciplinesMust possess a valid driver’s licenseRequired EducationCurrently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within 6 months of the start date of this internship, in an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Management, or a related Design fieldAdditional Information:Internship Eligibility:Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Professional internship at the time of applicationMust be at least 18 years of ageMust not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or programMust possess unrestricted work authorizationMust provide full work availabilityMust provide own transportation to/from work locationMust be able to provide own housing for the duration of the internshipMust have a valid US Driver's LicenseCurrent Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)Program Length:The approximate dates of this internship are June/July 2022 through early January 2023. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
