    Pall Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern this summer! The internship will be working alongside professional Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers onsite at the Pall Aerospace New Port Richey, FL site. Position Objective The Manufacturing Engineering Intern is primarily responsible for: Timely and accurate development of documentation (Pictorial Work Instructions, Routers, NCMR write-ups, etc.). Work with Manufacturing Engineer to development and maintain fixtures / tooling as required to support shop floor associates. Perform MRB root cause corrective actions and follow-up sustain activities Proactive identification and resolution of safety hazards and ensuring proper root cause and permanent correction actions are in place for all near-misses and accidents (reactive management). Success will be achieved through: Development of data driven, root caused focused, Pareto problem solving skills Development of Effective and efficient daily floor support / problem solving and the implementation leadership of temporary/immediate and long term/root cause focused countermeasures, with the right level of urgency skills through working with ME Techs and MEs. Kaizen / Continuous Improvement involvement (promoting, teaching, implementing, sustaining) Good time management skills to ensure the timely and accurate / high-quality completion of documentation tasks, balanced with line support, and KPI improvement activities. Essential Job Functions: Development of work instructions Development of fixtures & tooling Floor Support as required to support safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity objectives Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED degree, required. Associates degree in engineering / technology (Completed sophomore year). In Process of obtaining a BS in an engineering related field of study. Demonstrated ability to balance tactical/daily production support with daily/weekly required tasks, required. Strong interpersonal skills to include the ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to understand the root cause of problems and to implement the appropriate corrective actions, required. Working knowledge of BOM, routings, manufacturing procedures, tooling/fixture design (AutoCAD, Key Creator, Catia, or similar) is highly preferred. LEAN skill knowledge and implementation leadership, preferred. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
