    Pearson is offering an 8-week internship in the summer of 2022 for one doctoral student with outstanding psychometric skills who wish to gain experience in large-scale assessment. The internship will include hands-on experience working with operational licensure assessments. Specific activities may include various aspects of assessment development, item analysis, standard setting, technical reporting, and research.DATES: The 8-week internship will take place in the June-August timeframe. There is flexibility in which 8-week block, but interns should be prepared to commit to the complete 8-week term in a full-time capacity.LOCATION: VirtualINTERNSHIP GOALS: Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Pearson psychometricians/research scientists to: 1) Gain applied experience on many of the tasks involved in supporting operational testing programs; and 2) Enhance understanding of ways to collaborate and communicate about educational measurement.AWARD: The award includes a $9,000 stipend.QUALIFICATIONS: Interns should be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in educational measurement, statistics, psychology, or a similar program. At least two years of doctoral-level coursework must be completed prior to the summer of 2022. Interns should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the award for this role is $9,000.
