Develop new features using Java and PHP to support our many Fantasy products in an Agile environment. Opportunities to experience large scale usage of MySQL, kubernetes, redis, YQL+ web services, and more! Work with cross-functional teams: Product, Marketing, Design, and application engineers across platforms (web and apps). About You: You are a self-motivated, hands-on software engineer with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You want to build high quality products and are excited to solve a variety of problems. You get it done. You know how to deliver high quality code to meet established timelines. You are inquisitive and eager to partner with others, to both learn from them and to share your own knowledge and experiences. You are a strong communicator, ready and open to the exchange of ideas, and clearly articulate thoughts. Requirements: Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related major, with GPA of 3.5+ and strong record of academic achievement Technical Experience: Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX OOP and software design in PHP or Java Familiarity with unit and functional tests Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
