VMware’s Transformation Consulting team helps VMware’s customers make the most out of their technology investments, by providing guidance on IT strategy, identifying desired outcomes for IT programs and advising on the best path to actually achieve those outcomes. As an intern in our team you will work with highly experienced architects who create and deliver services driving IT strategy and outcomes for VMware’s customers. You will support these architects in establishing and maintaining a repository of intellectual property, as well as helping with creating operational dashboards that will be used with VMware Professional Services leadership. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over your internship you will work toward completing? The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? You will review existing knowledge repositories, the content within them and follow our architects’ guidance on a proposed structure for a Transformation Consulting repository. From there, you will create a plan to transfer relevant knowledge out of existing repositories and move them into the new structure, or archive them as needed. In creating the plan, you will work with the subject matter experts of the different types of knowledge to identify the correct course of action, and the correct tagging for the knowledge, so that relevant knowledge can easily be found in the future. You will also work on updating relevant knowledge that is captured in older formats, and transfer them into the current formats. Additionally, you will design operational dashboards on team performance using Tableau, and work on utilizing existing data sources to visualize relevant key metrics for VMware PSO leadership. These metrics may include team utilization, sales performance, plus associated detail for Transformation Consulting Leadership. Where is this role located?
