DATA PRODUCT OWNER (DPO)
WORK LOCATION: PLANO TX, SAN ANTONIO, TX (CURRENTLY REMOTE)

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the product owner for Data & Analytics environment. You will partner with Engineering teams, Business Intelligence teams, and Business Partners to establish a common vision and roadmap data sharing and cross-platform integration. You will provide consulting services to teams that want to leverage our data and our analytics platforms. You will help us to develop transformative capabilities to deliver data-driven insights to every product, engineering, and analyst team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive product objectives with business cases, product success metrics, design thinking, customer feedback, market research, marketing strategy and competitive analysis
- Prior ownership or development contribution of distributed data systems in an engineering capacity.
- Inspiring all levels of the organization with product vision and customer passion
- Identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices and driving innovation
- Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams
- Serve as liaison between business and development teams to translate business and design requirements into technical requirements, providing strong leadership to both Product Owners and Development Teams in support the customers
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Information Systems or Engineering is required
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Product Manager, with heavy emphasis on technology and implementation
- Strong analytical & data skill
- Outstanding data analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Must have demonstrated background in Data Management technologies and with business analysis
- Deep familiarity with big data, storage, processing, management technology, and cloud-based implementations at scale.
- Must have experience with Cloud Data solutions with a preference to AWS
- Familiarity with the following technologies: Hadoop, Snowflake, Kafka, S3, and Spark
- Background working with on-prem, cloud-based, and hybrid data infrastructure
- Ability to drive, contribute to, and communicate solutions to technical product challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
