TITLE: METADATA ANALYST/IBM INFORMATION GOVERNANCE CATALOGUE
LOCATION: SAN ANTONIO, TX
LONG TERM
IBM's Metadata Workbench (now called IGC). Initial focus is on building data lineage to support regulatory compliance and risk management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Understand the role of METADATA in capturing data lineage, and supporting data quality/veracity in the context of risk MANAGEMENT and regulatory compliance.
- Support the development of METADATA standards, architecture and best practices by the lead architect. Effectively communicate these to ETL and BI development teams.
- Develop integration routines into IBM Information Governance catalog from the ETL tools and the databases.
- Define/extend meta models within IBM IGC.
- Build METADATA administration and maintenance routines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to data governance, data standards and data policies
- Experience with metadata management tools such as IBM IGC, Informatica Metadata manager, and related data lineage and enterprise reporting.
- Experience with ETL processes and some ETL development experience in DataStage and/ or Informatica
- Experience with METADATA asset inventories and enhancing METADATA assests within METADATA Workbench
- Experience building a METADATA repository and defining the data model
- Clear and effective communicator: written and verbal
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience in software development.
