POSITION: ANDROID DEVELOPER
LOCATION: GRAND RAPIDS, MI

Need of an Android Developer/Analyst. The individual selected for this role will be expected to use their broad knowledge of systems and technologies to build innovative, high quality, customer-facing mobile solutions in an agile environment. This person will act as a subject-matter expert for the android platform. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, creative, and have a passion for building engaging digital experiences for our customers. In addition, this resource should be self-driven, dependable, and possess exceptional critical thinking skills.
.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in team ceremonies as a member of an agile team
- Collaborate with team to refine stories, and ensure they are testable
- Write and design high quality solutions that adhere to team design standards
- Contribute to, and foster, the growth of a culture of innovation and creativity
- Providing thought leadership on emerging technologies, best practices, and opportunities for improvement within the retail technology stack
- Collaborating with multiple development teams, business partners and vendor partners
- Conduct research, design, and prototype
- Create unit and acceptance tests
- Use best practices for designing, coding, and testing
- Deliver working, scalable, and high quality code
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for bugs/defects
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have Github or provide coding example with unit testing – If no Github, any examples would help
- App published to app store, preferred
- 1+ years of native android development experience
- Highly skilled in Java or Kotlin and Android Studio or GIT
- Experience with development patterns and consuming RESTFul APIs
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a level of application architecture and design using patterns such as MVVM
- Must be able to use the git code repository tool and use the Git flow process
- Familiarity with agile development process
