    Job Description

    nGAP Incorporated is a software development and professional services company specializing in Federal and Defense contract management. We are looking for an IT Network Manager who is passionate about configuring, monitoring, securing and continually improving complex networks. This is a full-time position with benefits, working in our corporate offices in Bonsall, CA.  

    Network Engineer (70 percent of the time)

    System Administrator (30 percent of the time)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Network Engineer - Responsible for entire network operations

      1. Deploy new infrastructures and tools such as Windows and Linux Servers

        1. Virtual Machines
        2. Cloud Virtual Machines
        3. Switching/Routing Equipment
        4. Storage
      2. Maintain infrastructure

        1. Patch Management
        2. Vulnerability Management
        3. Configuration Management
      3. Decommission existing infrastructure and tools

        1. Secure destruction of data
        2. De-provisioning network and infrastructure resources
      4. Monitor infrastructure and network

        1. Initiate network vulnerabilities scans
        2. Monitor configuration changes
        3. Report and catalog vulnerabilities
      5. Lead vulnerability mitigation efforts

        1. Create action plans
        2. Execute plans
      6. Lead and own Network Infrastructure Modernization Projects

        1. Conduct market research for tools/processes/software/procedures that benefit the security and operations of the company
        2. Make purchase decisions on tools
        3. Create/Modify company policies and procedures in all realms of network administration.

                                                                                                                                  

    2. System Administrator - Responsible for the continued operation and security of company hardware and software assets

      1. Maintain directory services
      2. Patch/Update computers/servers
      3. Respond to requests for technical assistance by users
      4. Provision/Configure new workstations
      5. Deprovision/Decommission of older workstations
      6. Maintain asset registers of hardware, software, and services
      7. Become the point of contact for contract managed services

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1.     Bachelor’s degree preferred in network administration, information technology, or computer science.

    2.     Associates Degree with three + years of experience can be substituted for education requirements.
