We are currently looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join our rockstar Home Loan Operations team. Check out the details below.
What you’ll do
• Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property and loan conditions meet established investor standards for all conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and private investor loans. • Evaluates acceptability of loans to corporations that buy real estate secured loans on the secondary market, where existing loans are sold. • Determines terms and acceptability of risk of prospective business. • Ensures compliance with industry standards, state and federal laws and disclosure requirements. • Records all conditions required for final approval and signs off. • Records all reasons for denied loans. • Follows all applicable laws and regulations. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred • 1 year underwriting experience with Direct Endorsement (DE) or VA/SAR underwriter preferred • Advanced knowledge of mortgage documentation, products, and procedures • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
