  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for leading and supporting Health and Safety related efforts in CLR’s Production group in accordance with the company HSE policy.    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • For assigned field office or work location, provides hands-on, visible H&S     leadership and support to CLR’s Production operations; with specific focus on achieving/maintaining CLR’s HSE Policy and Vision.
    • Plays an active role in accomplishing key deliverables from the CLR Strategic HSE Objectives
    • Supports/ Coordinates/Influences all H&S efforts including, but not limited to:
    • Constantly works to identify, evaluate and control identified hazards related to Production operations to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel and maintain compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements.
    • Leads local efforts on Contractor Safety Management, supports operations in pre-qualification efforts, contractor orientation and performance monitoring, D&A programs.
    • Supports the development, delivery and documentation of H&S training.
    • Plays an active role in the development, implementation and continual improvement of CLR H&S policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and alerts.
    • Tracks and trends H&S performance data for Production operations (i.e. incidents, near misses, hazard identification, regulatory activity, etc.), provides analysis and recommendations.
    • Leads/assists the Production operations team with incident investigations, identification of root causes and development/ implementation of corrective actions.
    • Plans and coordinates specialized 3rd party consultant support and technical resource requirements, and ensures H&S initiatives support production operation needs
    • Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s degree in H&S (or a related discipline) from an accredit University or College preferred
    • 5+ years of E&P related H&S work experience at least, specifically in Production operations.
    • Knowledge of H&S regulatory requirements.
    • Valid Driver's License

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time.
    • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.
    • Work safely with machinery and equipment.
    • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
    • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time safely.
    • The ability to inspect and have close visual acuity to perform activities.
    • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions.
    • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.
    • Must be able to read, write and understand complex reports and to interpret and explain them accurately
