JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Division Order Analyst is considered to be an advanced level
position with superior knowledge and experience of division order
responsibilities. The Sr. Division Order Analyst works closely with the
Staff Division Order Analyst (Lead) to ensure the completion of division
order responsibilities for an assigned geographical area of
responsibility. This position will accurately and timely establish,
maintain, and protect legal ownership of Continental Resources’
producing properties. The Sr. Division Order Analyst will address and
seek resolution of highly complex division order related issues. This
position will also support Continental Resources’ growth initiative
through proactively finding ways to create efficiencies, reduce waste
and minimize risk. This position will mentor and provide training to
junior level analysts across multiple geographical areas of
responsibility. This position requires a highly motivated individual,
capable of achieving results independently with minimal supervision.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for creating burdened division of interest (DOI) decks
reflecting record title ownership of producing properties in a
specific geographic area through detailed analysis of title
opinions, leases, assignments, deeds, probates, farm-out agreements,
operating agreements and other legal documents
- Determine ownership through laws of descent and
distribution/intestate succession when appropriate
- Reviews new DOI setups and ownership transfers performed by junior
division order analysts for accuracy
- Establishes and maintains joint interest billing decks
- Trains and mentors junior division order analysts regarding all
aspects of division order work
- Shares technical expertise to aid in the creation of division order
policies and procedures
- Initiate pay code changes and ownership transfers of advanced
complexity within SAP
- Research and respond to phone calls, emails and written inquiries
from interest owners
- Provides insight and analysis regarding weekly/monthly metrics
- Helps lead various projects to their successful completion
- Works closely internally with all land disciplines, Revenue
Accounting, JIB Accounting, Legal, Marketing, and Reserves, and
externally with contract landmen, brokers, title attorneys, WI
partners and revenue interest owners to achieve company goals
- Promotes, cultivates and maintains good professional relationships
with colleagues and external interest owners
- Assists division order management as needed

- A general computer expertise is required with substantial word
processing, spreadsheet experience and ability to accurately perform
advanced math functions
- Must be attentive to detail with good organizational and time
management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher with major in Law, Energy Management or
Business
- 8+ years of recent, relevant experience with an active oil and gas
exploration company or a combination of education and relevant work
experience required
- Requires advanced to expert level knowledge of land concepts and
division order responsibilities
- Experienced with land data systems such as SAP, QLS, etc. required
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
