  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Lease Operator II position will report to the appropriate area Production Foreman. The expectation is to perform basic to intermediate level pumping skills, as well as meet the requirements for Lease Operator I.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Demonstrates competency with ALL business, leadership, and technical skills required for Lease Operator I

    • Demonstrates ownership and responsibility for route

    • Has the ability to identify and diagnose issues as they develop and works to resolve them

    Demonstrates compliance with company HSE policies and demonstrates safe and ethical behavior

    Must complete all computer based trainings accurately and within specified time frame

    Gauges and records production accurately, and maintains production to reach company goals

    Understands how equipment operates and has the ability to troubleshooting as needed, and to identify and notify appropriate personnel of issue. Including but not limited to:

    Treater, Separator, Dump Valves Ajax Engines, ESPs, Regulators, Fresh Water Systems, Back Pressure Valves, Conventional, Rotaflex, and MARK II pumping units, Electrical requirements and needs

    Demonstrates knowledge of wells on route with the ability to walk through starting up a well and facility and ensuring all valves and equipment are set correctly

    Able to correctly perform well test

    Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot wells, optimizing well production, including but not limited to:

    Ratigen, Murphy, SAM, VFD, Chemical Pumps, Vibration Switch, Tag Well, Raise Rods, Pressure test and Casing Flush

    Must accurately report in EVIN: Seals, Run tickets, and water and oil tickets, and gas production

    Check leases and maintain lease equipment

    Pumping Units (preventative maintenance, greases, changes stuffing box rubbers as needed)

    Compressors and Pumps (preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting)

    Maintains proper fluid levels and pressures on vessels and adjusts as needed

    Familiar with engineered flares and abutecs

    Schedule tank sales in advance

    Demonstrate ability to witness purchaser’s gauges, and tests to verify accuracy

    Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS

    • Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervisio

    • Demonstrates good communication and ability to develop relationships with employees and other third party contractors

    • Takes pride in personal appearance and the appearance of their location, equipment and vehicles

    • Demonstrates conflict management skills

    • Willingness to assist or ask for assistance as needed with manager and team member duties

    • Basic computer skills

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 1-2 years of Lease Operator experience
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
    • Ability to pass a fit test

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
    • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
    • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
    • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
    • Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance
    • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
    • Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects
    • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities
    • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required
