Citrix Engineer

Onsite Role - San Diego, CA

Job Summary

• The Citrix/Systems Engineer provides technical expertise to server and systems hardware, operating systems, and general data center operations, with a focus on Citrix.
• This position is charged with the responsibility of providing long term systems solutions to the organization as well as maintaining reliability/service level operational standards.
• Directly responsible for hardware, OS, and product implementation, day-to-day integrity, and operation of Windows, Linux, Unix, and other systems in all environments.
• Will also assist in the planning of short and long-range changes in configuration, in making recommendations for the selection of platform configurations, hardware, operating systems, and utility software, and will assist in the planning, provisioning, installation, documentation, and administration of all server hardware, operating systems, peripherals, local storage subsystems, utility software, and applications setup.
• Assist in the recommendation of data center and NOC tools and monitoring facilities.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant experience as Citrix/Systems Engineer.
• 3+ years experience building and upgrading Citrix (Virtual App and Desktop Farm) V7.15 and above and Workspace Web and Workspace App Deployment.
• Hands on experience with Citrix NetScaler Gateway (ADC application Delivery Controller) and Citrix DaaS.
• Demonstrated experience with PVS (Provision )/ MCS (Machine Creation Services)
• Experience with any of the following operating systems: Linux, Unix, Microsoft and general infrastructure components; IP networking services, Apache, HA clustering, BIND, Perl/PHP/CGI scripting
• Strong understanding and experience with Windows Server operating system technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Cluster, DHCP, WINS, DNS, IIS, Exchange, MS SQL, etc.
• Environment Management: WEM (Citrix – Workspace Environment Management) / App Sense Policies: Citrix Policies / GPO Monitoring: Control UP /EG Innovation Scripting: PS Citrix Director / Shadowing
• Certifications Desired: As applicable on various system platforms, operations systems, and system applications e.g. Microsoft certification MCSE + Internet, Unix or Linux, or VMware, Environment Management: WEM (Citrix – Workspace Environment Management) / App Sense
• FSLogix – Profile Management (from MS)
• Certifications: CCA Preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field OR related experience.
