Overview:

As a Tax Accounting Specialist, you'll manage day-to-day tax and licensing activities, providing administrative support to the Tax Department and assisting other departments. The focus is on preparing sales tax, and federal excise tax payments, and meeting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain tax files, records, and statements.
• Assess and submit tax data for reporting.
• Track licensing and permit due dates; ensure compliance.
• Process check requests, create Journal Entries, and reconcile spreadsheets.
• Research and recommend corrections for balance tax accounts.
• Assist in special projects assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong technical skills including Excel.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ethics.
• Ability to work independently under time constraints.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills; team player.
