    Job Summary

    The role of the Systems Architect is to evaluate new solutions to ensure compatibility with the technical architecture currently deployed, provide estimates for resourcing for project work, and serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting and training of junior and senior engineers. You will be working directly with the CTO of a major organization.

    • Establishing systems of Architectural Standards relating to efficiency, security, and risk management as well as documentation of systems within related architecture
    • Lifecycle management of all systems and infrastructure under the Systems Architect’s domain
    • Provide guidance and training to the Infrastructure Department regarding systems services, data center services, and operational level standards as dictated by IT management
    • Training junior engineers on systems and architectures and being an escalation point for troubleshooting problems within the Systems Architects domain
    • Assisting with system configuration & testing and performing routine architecture configuration settings
    • Interacting with other departments and management at all levels of the organization

    Qualifications

    • 5+ year’s experience as a systems architect, working in enterprise environments.
    • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification (or similar)
    • Certification in Systems Administration (Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMware, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of systems administration, Windows OS, AIX, Cache, SQL, VMware, Citrix.
    • Strong technical skills in systems design, implementation, and maintenance, with a focus on Windows OS, Nutanix HW, and networking.
    • Experience with virtualization, networking, and storage technologies, as well as cloud-based solutions
    • Working knowledge of project management tools, like MS Project, and coordinating multiple project participants representing internal staff, vendor, or professional services members while in the project manager role for assigned projects
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
