Position: Staff Accountant
Location: Orlando Area
Salary: $55,00 - $85,000 DOE + bonus, full benefits, great PTO, and 401K
Our client is a fast growing, mid-sized public accounting firm with close to 50 employees who has been serving Central FL for years. Due to double digit, year over year growth, they are looking for a few talented Tax Accountants with public accounting experience.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Federal and State returns for S & C-Corporations, Partnerships, Individuals, Trusts and Not-for-Profits
- Review financial records, income statements, and expenditure documentation to determine forms needed to prepare returns.
- Make adjustments to financial reporting through QuickBooks Software.
- Consult with clients to get a thorough picture of their financial situation and provide appropriate tax planning advice
- Conduct tax research for unusual situations
- Assist in federal and state audits and offer recommendations to clients regarding the tax effects of certain business decisions.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1+ years of relevant Public Accounting experience
- Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including individual, corporate, trust, estate, nonprofit and partnership
- Knowledge in U.S. GAAP
- Financial Statement knowledge - audit, review, and compilation
- Strong technology skills - Excel, Word, and Drake software preferred
