We are partnered with a full-service Tax, Accounting and Planning Firm located in New York, NY; which is looking for a self-motivated professional to join their team as Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant. This is a hybrid position and our client offers a very competitive benefits package with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of income tax returns, including Individual, Corporation, S-Corporation, Partnership, and Fiduciary returns.
• Planning, preparation, and completion of various accounting, compilation, review, and tax engagements.
• Ability to prepare and review quarterly, federal, state, and local tax filings and compliance notices.
• Perform tax research on various issues.
• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
• Provide technical GAAP guidance and financial support functions as required to the staff accountants.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and tax preparation with at least 3+ years in public accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of federal and state tax returns.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office. Competency in Lacerte tax software a plus.
• Deadline oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA license preferred, but not required

Salary: $70,000 - $105,000 Depending on experience
