    The MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST supports the Billing team in reducing error processed (EP) billings and a wide range of administrative duties in accordance with the Company’s goal of maintaining accurate, compliant, and timely billing practices for services rendered by Pathnostics. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Resolve unbillable accessions by utilizing various tools available, including contacting clients, patients and/or sales reps to retrieve missing information and re-education
    • Track, monitor and report billing discrepancies
    • Data entry and QC of billing PHI with high attention to detail
    • Utilize LIS and RPM systems to input relevant data and codes
    • Coordinate with outsourced billing company to implement company policies and procedures as it relates to the billing process
    • Address billing-related inquiries from patients, clients, and sales reps received by either by inbound phone calls or emails
    • Update and maintain medical records and supporting documents
    • Other miscellaneous billing-related tasks as assigned

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Associate's Degree preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
