    This position is responsible for defining, analyzing, and providing insight into OpenTable’s global restaurant total addressable market (TAM).  The Manager will ensure that there is cross-functional alignment on TAM and the segments within it. S/he will be responsible for ensuring accessibility and operationalization of the data. The role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product to align on initiatives and needs. The Manager will lead data validation exercises to ensure the TAM and segmentation database is seen as a reliable source throughout the company. S/he will leverage data to inform territory optimization standards across the Restaurant Sales and Services organization.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage market sizing and segmentation models for OpenTable’s portfolio of products.
    • Build, maintain, and enhance a global restaurant database that can be used in real-time by the Sales and Marketing teams.
    • Ensure the database is up-to-date and interactive with tools such as OpenTable’s instance of Salesforce.com.
    • Source reliable data from third-parties and manage vendor relationships.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to define and build custom models to size new product/market opportunities and aid in strategic planning.
    • Partner closely with Sales Operations to inform territory, prospect, and segment prioritization decisions.
    • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Business Optimization, and other teams to solve complex business problems.
    • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings to senior management.
    • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support to management and Sales.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Advanced data modeling skills and SQL proficiency required.
    • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tool.
    • Professional experience in data analysis and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making.
    • Passion for data quality and accuracy.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to see the big picture while effectively managing detail.
    • Experience creating and presenting slide decks to senior management.
    • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Able to work in a fast paced environment with frequently changing work demands.
    • Proven success managing cross-functional relationships and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
    • Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight .
    • Must possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving, and project management skills.
    • 3+ years in an analytical role.
    • College degree required. MBA a plus.
    • Salesforce.com experience.  
    • Management consulting & tech industry experience a plus.
