The Vice President Finance reports to the CFO and has responsibility for all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis, and financial and strategic modeling. The position was established for the purpose of directing business programs and financial services; providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining financial services and serving as a member of the Networks leadership team. These functions include annual budget cycle, quarterly forecasts, annual LRP, and any financial analysis or modeling as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Commissioner, Networks President, and CFO.
Develop annual financial plans, budgets, forecasts and Long Range Plans
Develop and evaluate new business initiatives and opportunities to develop new revenue streams.
Assess evolving media industry dynamics, create strategies to optimize network's business model in face of a changing landscape. Create strategies to leverage new technology to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements.
Assess and assist in the creation of business terms with prospective new content distribution partners, sponsors and advertisers, other business partners and critical vendors.
Provides financial analysis necessary to make informed decisions identifying risks and benefits.
Form a close working relationship with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis, modeling and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
Evaluate the need for new technology to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements
Monitors budget allocations, expenditures, and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget for Networks, MMR and Sales Co
Prepare and maintains a wide variety of data for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
