  • Responsibilities

    The Networks Promotions Writer/Producer for PAC 12 Network will be responsible for conceptualizing and producing creative content for all on and off-air marketing platforms including topical/generic promos, sizzle clips, launch campaigns, original shoot scripts, image campaigns, stunt promotion and others. The Networks Promotions Writer/Producer must be an endless resource of ideas for projects. Superior writing skills are a must, as is selling ideas to management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Write and produce creative content for on and off-air media platforms, including topical spots for the networks’ 850 live events.
    • Write and manage live in-game announcer promo reads
    • Create brand/image spots for air
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions for promo campaigns
    • Assist during production shoots
    • Handle voiceover sessions and work with outside graphic artists
    • Continually be a leader with innovative, creative marketing ideas that will extend the brand on all platforms.
    • Work with strategy team to understand positioning, messaging and target demographic. Utilize superior writing skills and present multiple concepts for each assignment.
    • Communicate concepts to graphics designers and editors, and supervise execution.      
    • Handle multiple projects at one time and meet strict deadlines.
    • Manage and build relationships inside and outside the department.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1-3 years of experience writing and producing spots for a broadcast or cable television network, a production house or an ad agency
    • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of work experience.
    • Experience in sports broadcasting preferred, interest in collegiate sports a must.      
    • Superior writing skills and advanced sense of storytelling.
    • Understanding of all phases of pre-production, production, and post-production.
    • Demonstrated time management, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, creatively problem-solve and work well under pressure.
    • Strong visual sense.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience writing/producing spots for a sports network.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid or other editing systems.
    • Experience managing talent and coordinating promo shoots.
    • Collegiate ties to PAC 12 Conference schools a plus.
