    The InfoSec team is responsible for architecting, designing and deploying security solutions using Palo Alto Networks platform components and third party tools to mitigate threats, monitor corporate system, and conduct incident response.

    Palo Alto Networks is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking intern to join our Infosec Red Team. Our Red team periodically conducts unannounced targeted penetration testing through focused threat-based methodologies as a simulated adversary to expose and exploit vulnerabilities to improve the Cyber readiness of Palo Alto Networks.

    Opportunities:
    As part of the Red Team you would: 

    • Develop attack vectors, conduct reconnaissance
    • Collect open-source intelligence
    • Conduct enumeration and fingerprinting of target networks and services
    • Attempt exploits and unauthorized data access as a simulated adversary.

    The results of these simulations is then discussed in depth with Asset Owners (Applications and Infrastructure) and Blue Team (Monitoring and Response) and improvements and planned and executed.

    Intern would work in all areas: Red/Attack, Blue/Defend and Purple/Plan and Improve

    Skills:

    • Working towards a Computer Science Degree
    • Able to demonstrate and articulate past research or activities indicating an interest and work in at least one of the subject areas above
    • Knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, including Router ACLs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and Web content filtering
    • Knowledge of security related tools, such as network/application vulnerability scanners, NMAP and Kali Linux
    • Programming experience (Bash scripting, Perl, Java, Python, C++)

    Requirements All applicants must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have authorization to work within the United States.
