    Palo Alto Networks, Inc. (NYSE: PANW), is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. We’re looking for an extraordinary Sr. Manager, Facilities and Operations with a passion for operational excellence. You will lead a team of facilities associates in the delivery of day-to-day facility operations, services, and maintenance activities at the assigned location(s). The position ensures assets are operated and maintained in a cost effective manner while providing a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment. The Sr. Manager, Facilities and Operations develops budgets, controls costs, and coordinates service providers and staff activities. Leveraging organization skills, problem solving, and creative thinking you resolve escalated issues, drive continuous process improvement and team development in a dynamic environment. Extensive interaction with internal and external customers is required to ensure seamless delivery of these services. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will work closely with Finance, IT, HR, and the Real Estate & Facilities team. We are seeking a colleague who enjoys working independently but collaboratively in a collegial team environment within a fast-paced and dynamic company. This position will be located in the Santa Clara, California office.

      SPECIFIC DUTIES:

    • Develop and manage facilities operations programs and processes for all day to day operations, Large event room scheduling management and lab infrastructure and office build-outs at our HQ facility.
    • Provide leadership and technical support for teams of Technicians, Engineers, Electrical Subcontractors, Mechanical System to support building labs and building operations. Create project schedules, commissioning plans, implementation plans, software design descriptions, sequence of operations, cost estimates, proposals, change orders, request for quotes, RFIs, labor forecasts and subcontracts.
    • Review all MEP related work and provide technical guidance to both the Facility Engineering Staff and outside contractors who maintain and repair the building equipment (HVAC, Plumbing, & Electrical) and critical systems (Fire-Life Safety, Emergency Generators, CRAC, PDU’s & UPS units).
    • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, and governing regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities. 
    • Resolve Building System Problems or Failures by addressing the “Root Cause” issues, and oversee repairs and implement improvements and corrections. Develop and implement solutions to difficult automation control challenges. Ability to successfully lead a team through all stages of a project (Plan / Design / Build / Commission / Maintain).
    • Provide 24/7 Response for all Building System & Infrastructure Emergencies.
    • Manage the staffing, development, performance and outcomes of the assigned team reporting to the position.
    • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and projects that aim to reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity or longevity.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required – preferably with a focus in engineering, architecture, industrial engineering or management.  Professional certifications such as AIA, PE, MCR/SLCR, IFMA and/or LEED are a bonus, but not required.
    • 7-10 years relevant experience in corporate office design, construction, and/or project management.
    • Ability to build the operations program with growth and change in mind. Capable of leading the efforts to differentiate our offices from other companies, from the perspective of both customers and employees. 
    • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. 
    • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. 
    • Understanding of standard business and accounting practices.
    • Thorough understanding of various design and construction delivery/contracting methods.
    • Thorough understanding of relevant products and vendors, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, furniture, AV/VC, etc. 
    • Comfortable enough to constantly adapt to the terrain and circumstances of a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to set, manage, and deliver within a reasonable budget, as well as the ability to make decisions and trade-offs based on holistic financial metrics.  You are detail-oriented.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, dynamic and highly team-oriented.
    • Able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of contractual and related matters. 
    • Superior language, written and oral, communication skills required.
