The Palo Alto Networks Application Framework is ushering in the future
of security innovation, reinventing how users access, evaluate and adopt
the most compelling new security technologies. The Developer Relations
team is responsible for helping to keep developers connected to the
technologies, resources and communities that enable them to build
innovative security solutions for the Application Framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist 3rd-party developers with building applications in the
Application Framework.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure end-to-end
functionality of Application Framework APIs.
- Help build, maintain and grow a 3rd-party developer
community presence.
- Build, maintain and support SDKs for the Palo Alto Networks
Application Framework.
- Maintain and support the Application Framework
Reference Application.
- Help develop and implement a 3rd-party developer outreach program
and toolkit.
- Leverage automation to assist 3rd-party developers with
building/deploying a developer lab/environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working directly with partners and customers.
- Experience presenting and conducting workshops.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following
languages/platforms/frameworks: Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python,
Go, React, Bootstrap, PHP, .NET/C#.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the above.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience as a software developer/engineer, developer relations
advocate, network/information security engineer/analyst.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) solutions.
- Experience with the Palo Alto Networks security platform.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, QA, professional
services, product management, customer support and IT.
- Working understanding of web development technologies and
frameworks, i.e. NGINX, Flask, WSGI, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery,
Node.js, React, et al.
- Experience with the Open API and the Open API Specification.
- Experience with Swagger and generated SDKs.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the above.
