Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class finance organization and is
looking for a top-notch FINANCE BUSINESS MANAGER, COMMISSIONS to join
our Sales Finance team. The ideal candidate would be someone with an
analytical mind, who is a self-starter, a great communicator and
passionate about driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment. The
successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting
commissions forecasts across the WW sales function. In addition, the
successful candidate will be charged with advising on compensation plan
designs and the operational aspects to ensure there is a high-level of
accuracy and transparency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce short and long-term commissions forecasts, ensuring a high
degree of accuracy
- Partner with Sales Operations, Accounting, and other internal
finance teams to fulfill monthly close processes related to
commissions
- Advise on compensation design planning, operational execution of
go-to-market compensation strategy, and on new incentive programs
- Act as a key partner for sales executives and senior leadership for
new commissions programs
- Establish new commissions processes and models to reflect new GAAP
accounting procedures (ASC 606 rules)
- Produce various commissions metrics, quota attainment metrics, and
other ad-hoc analyses, particularly to develop and present
insightful information for senior leadership teams
- Partner with sales operations leaders to drive business growth and
actionable recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Systems familiarity with commission platforms, SFDC and SAP a plus
- Bachelors degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of related Finance experience needed
- Strategic thinking while being detail oriented
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting for both commissions and revenue
(ASC 605/606 knowledge) a plus
- Prior Sales Finance experience a plus
- Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and statistical modeling
skills
- Ability to prioritize well and manage timelines
